TNA's biggest One Night Only event of the year emanates from Tokyo, Japan this year. The full card for this HUGE show:
    6073120000e910cfee0ffa1462e6d170_L.jpg?t=1412046148
The Great Muta and Tajiri vs. Seiya Sanada and 'Cowboy' James Storm

    TNA X-Division Championship

champion 'Samoan Submission Machine' Samoa Joe vs. Low Ki vs. Kaz Hayashi

Team 3D (Bully Ray and Devon) vs. Tommy Dreamer and 'The Monster' Abyss

Ethan Carter III vs. Ryota Hama

    MVP vs. Kazma Sakamoto

    Manik vs. Minoru Tanaka

    Havok vs. Velvet Sky

“I can confidently say this will be the most intriguing and captivating three hours of professional wrestling action all year,” said John Gaburick, TNA’s executive vice-president, talent relations and creative. “With an incredible card pitting the best professional wrestling athletes against one another in never-before-seen matches, Bound For Glory will once again set the standard for the best wresting in the world.”

Sakamoto is Tensai's old buddy. At least the X-title match and Manik vs. Minoru look good.

What did I miss that has Dreamer against Team 3D?

Disappointed they are sending Velvet Sky, the second worst Knockout they have.

So many people missing but surely they could have found something for Aries and Roode. Three way with Lashley. Sorted.

I had forgotten it was this weekend until they said it on Impact. A very half assed effort in terms of promotion. Even if they weren't tieing it in with current storylines, they should have done a better job than they have.

Better planning and they could have had an amazing show.

Roode vs Lashley for the title
    Full Metal Meyham
    Gail vs Havok
    Storm/Sanada vs Muta/Tajiri
Aries vs Joe for the X title
Plus a couple of inter promotional matches to fill out the card.

    That's genuinely sad.

I've not been interested in the TNA product for years now, but I am at heart a wrestling fan. I want to see the business thrive. It's hard to see pictures like that, Dixie embarrassing herself on twitter, piss poor production and promotion.

It's the wrestlers I feel for the most, they bust their asses and there are plenty of extremely talented people there.

    Yeah, not good.

When you realize that Bound for Glory is supposed to be TNA's equivalent to Wrestlemania that picture looks much more depressing.

so bound for glory is the wrestlemania of TNA and they decide this is their showcase event of the year. No wonder they cant get a tv deal.

    Anyone see it yet?

I'll watch at some point over the next few days but it isn't exactly a high priority.

TNA are rightfully focused on the TV product now (which has ranged from good to great for several months now) instead of the PPV's. It's been a long time since anyone other than WWE made any worthwhile money from PPV's and even they weren't making enough from them so what chance does anyone else have?

Without Wrestle-1, they would have just slapped the BFG name onto an episode of Impact like they have been doing with the other former PPV's. Assuming TNA will be around for a while yet, I don't think they will bother with PPV's in future. They aren't worth it and never were.

if they wanted big numbers at Impact/PPVs they would move it to UK/Europe on a permanent basis.

Every match was exactly as good (or bad) as it looked on paper except the main event which was dull and lifeless.

Or the show fell off a cliff after the all W-1 tag

Considering how much filler was on the show I have no idea why they didn't throw another ten minutes at Minoru/Manik and Joe/Low Ki/Hayashi.

And the show finished like 10 minutes early

I am going to get heat for saying this, I thought this was a boring PPV.

Just felt like a One Night Only. Like how many of the matches were actually built up going into it? You could miss the PPV altogether and watch this week's Impact without missing anything.

And is the Wrestle 1 ring apron wider than US rings?

Yeah, I just finished it today. It was a pretty good show and great to see guys like EC3 and Manik getting some exposure to the Japanese audience, but it still wasn't the BFG I would have liked to have seen after such a good summer of Impact.

Just watching it now on challenge.

Really has such a small show feel. Which sucks considering it is a bound for glory.

Mother of God Tazz and Tenay are painful to little to. I used to love both in their earlier careers but by god they must rank amongst the worst ever now.

I thought it was Tenay's best call in years. He was brilliant and seemed to be really enjoying himself.

I enjoyed it for the most part. Nothing amazing but the X-Division three way was worth watching. EC3 was his usual great self too. His pre match promo was class and I think it's only a matter of time before they pull the trigger on him and make him the top guy.

Noticed during the Knockouts match that some of the biggest names missing all had one thing in common. They were Canadian. Wonder if it was a visa thing that prevented the likes of Gail Kim and Bobby Roode being involved?
