Hi my sister took out a student overdraft in 2010 with aib and it was the amount of. 500 few months later dropped out of college and paid 150 off the overdraft but then she went away for a few years travelling she is now back opened up new account with boi and will hopefully repay the amount owed but will this affect her rating and if she ever tries to apply for a mortgage with either bank thanks

Yes, it will stay on her credit report until 5 years after she pays the debt in full.

And the credit report will be accessed by any financial institution that your sister might apply to for a mortgage, not just whoever gave her the overdraft.

And it may stay on AIB's systems for much longer than 5 years after it is paid off.

When is the money (including lost growth) Michael Noonan took in the Pension Levy going to be paid back?

Overdrafts do not appear on the irish credit bureau. It will however remain on AIB's internal system.
