Just wondering on people's views as to how many points is the wildcard worth in the primer league. I mean if you were going to deduct 16 points , would u use it

Probably. Do you really need to take a 16 point hit or can it be spaced out over a few weeks?

Definitely would. The value of a wildcard is overestimated in most cases imo. It's pretty much a way of chasing last week's points. People wildcarding this week will be going for silva and steering clear of burnley def. Last week's wildcarders were doing the opposite. Next week's wildcarders will stay away from adm if he gets 2 pts this week.Using the wildcard to avoid a 12 pt hit and over is ideal. People with Ramsey and Rooney and a couple of other issues should really use it this week

The wildcard is a burden for me. I always want to hold on to them as long as possible but end up having circular arguments with myself. Eventually just for peace of mind, and to avoid thinking about it, I play it....normally about 3 weeks in to the season!

16 points is quite a lot. So yeah for that amount I'd activate WC.

But it can also depends on whether you absolutely need to make these 5 transfers in a single week or not. If you can spread over 2-3 weeks...?

These past years, the first 2 international breaks were ideal moments to use the WC in order to get on the in form players of the early season and boost your team value.
This year, since you can't really play the team value "game", it may be worth holding if you don't need major surgery. Rough winter weathers, big DGW could then turn out to your advantage.
