I have a concrete kitchen floor with a vinyl-type floor covering and a wooden floor in the living area. The concrete and wood are at the same level. I'm thinking of tiling the kitchen floor which will add a small amount to the level of the kitchen floor and I`m just wondering how to deal with this slight difference in level.

Have you a door saddle there at the moment? Or is it a clean walk through. Depending on how tick the tiles you pick all what might be needed is a just a small piece cut off the bottom of the door.

Sorry I should have said it is open between the two areas with no door. The division is not a straight, it is I just mean it turns 90 degrees

Any decent tile / floor store will have a range of strips specifics
Ly made for just this issue. Pet the width of the tile and add on 3mm for adhesive bed. You might have a total step of approx 10mm. Just get a step to suit. Normally 3M adhesive. Plenty of choice out there.
