I was wondering what people here considered the right age range for page boy and flower girl?

Flower girl up until 10, junior bridesmaid after that. In my opinion anyway. Page boy the same.

    Thanks

My god daughter will be 3 months short of her 10th birthday on my wedding day and my fiancée and I were sort of ruling her out as flower girl as we thought she would be too old for it at that stage. Maybe she would still be suitable because I really would like to have her involved!

I would have thought 10 a bit old, but if you want to include her it's up to you. I would suggest not putting her in a traditional flower girl dress though; she might look a bit babyish? Just find an age appropriate white dress and have her carry a bouquet, not a basket or wand.

^^ This, find a nice dress (doesn't have to be white, colour can match bridesmaids) and a flower girl bouquet (what I'm having for my flower girls)

It also depends on the size of the child. My daughter is very tall and well developed for a 10 year old. She is wearing the same 50s style dress as the bridesmaid. She is also calling herself the "best bridesmaid flower girl" as she wants to help out both mammy and daddy.

My nieces were 10, 8, and 6 when I got married. I also had an MoH (cousin) an adult BM (my husband's niece).

I dressed the smalls in the same M & S dresses and matching cardi's and all carried baskets. The adults were dressed in teal, but different dresses (they chose their own) with bouquets. They were all BM's in my book. The MoH had a matching shawl which marked her out.

Discussed it with the missus - I think we'll go with the idea of 9yr old in a dress (not the same as bridesmaids)

How about asking her what she'd like? She'll be the one wearing the childish or grown-up dress... She may very well not like being in a little girls flower girl outfit. However, if you've already made up your mind to go with bridesmaidy dress, then I'd say she'll be happy with that, as most girls like looking more grown rather than younger.

Whats the story with dress then - are you having her in same dress as the bridesmaids or something different.

DO you have a page boy/ junior groomsman to even it up.

Very interested in this tbh! :)

Rather than making her a 'big flower girl', how about giving her some specific task at the wedding, other than just carrying flowes / looking cute.

1 bridesmaid in dress of her choosing. Jnr bridesmaid (10 yr old) her dress will be the same colour as the bridesmaid (but whatever style). 2 flower girls in traditional white/ivory fg dresses. 2 page boys in.....haven't decided yet!
The junior bm will carry a bouqet like the bm. The flower girls won't have bouqets obviously
Anyone have any tips for page boy outfits - buy or rent??

oh and no 'junior groomsman' to even things up. There'll be:
    1 bridesmaid
    1 jnr bridesmaid
    1 best man
    2 flower girls
    2 page boys
I wanted None of the above but was forced into each and every one of them because someone's nose was going to be out of joint otherwise!!

    We have:

    1 Best man
    2 Groomsmen
    3 Bridesmaid
    1 Junior Bridesmaid

My fiancée was worried that it may not look right to have it un even if that makes sense?

I've often been at weddings where it's uneven.

Mine was. Had five BM's and a groomsman. Doesn't matter.
