Everytime i shave it makes me acne worse i try different blades and creams but cant find any to full fix this issue! any recommendations? it makes sense that its shaving doing a lot of harm to my skin as when i had grown my facial hair the spots went away! :( any advice?

Would you consider switching to an electric?

I dont suffer from this but I believe an electric dry shaver is the answer

Is growing a beard an option? Ideally I wouldn't be shaving at all but if you have to then the electric razor seems like the way to go.

I find a double edge gillette 7oclock razor blade quite good or a mach 3 . Anything else seems so far to be poor. Also I find shaving every day bad as well as letting if grow for more than 3 days. It would appear to a matter of trial and error, but the one common thing is prep, shave after a shower.

    Use a beard trimmer.

Is it just on your neck it is?

    Might be beard rash.

its on my neckline its most definitely acne tho! id rather not go down the electric shaver route as it as its very expensive and not as close shave as wet razor!

Try steaming your face before shaving

Do you regularly only get acne on your neck?

is the acne in the same spots roughly each time. I was getting inflammed spots around my mouth and i went to a laser clinic who told me to get laser hair removal on the area which i did and it cleared up the spots as i was getting ingrown hairs. its very common. i got m,y first session 2months ago and my next is in wednesday. some of the spots starrted coming back in the last week as hair is beginning to grow back. it takes about 8 treatments to get rid of the hair in the follicle completely. Its just a thought but i thnk it is solving my problem. i also get red inflammed spots on my neckline which i might also get laser done on in the future.

Do you bleed much on your face when you shave?
Perhaps the acne is already there but you just see if forming quicker on your face when there is no hair there.

Try not using shaving gel and try a non comodeginc lotion and use it as a lather. Also if you leave it too long between shaves you're pulling at the hair on your face more which will just irritate your skin further.
