Damaged alloy lock nut

    I got a puncture tonight in Ranelagh, and when I went to remove the wheel,I discovered that the locking nut has been stripped and the socket can't get enough purchase to turn the nut.
    So,any recommendations for a mobile service that can remove a damaged lock nut?

    Usually, if you have a selection of sockets both hex drive, bi-hex and star, you can get one that will hammer onto the nut and remove it. Failing that, you're into hammer and chisel territory, but hammering on a socket is the better way to go. An impact driver helps a lot too.

    My mechanic drilled out the lock nut and used an easy-out.25 notes so not so bad.
