Beautiful evening so I Took the daughter out again and had a wonderful experience.
Came up to farmhouse and fed the horses some carrots first as she wanted to. In with the horses were two does with not a care in the world. Funny enough my little one spotted them first. Then we walked around a few fields and I shot rabbit and a nice pricket had ran out if the bushes after my shot so was a lovely sight to see him around. Carried on and got a crow which wasn't totally dead but my little girl ran after him and picked him up though he pecked her finger and she wasn't to happy so I dispatched him. Then we met the cows who ran towards us Making myself and daughter nervous so I let a few roars at them as did my little girl ( she also barked and growled at them ) and they backed off.
Then we walked up hill and seen more horses who were standing guard as a massive 9 point stag stood in front of them with his head lowered almost challenging the horses. Was amazing sight. Wonderful to be watching it with my little girl also admiring Bambi's daddy. Small flock of rooks flew over and I dropped 2 of them and my daughter retrieved them ( don't think I need a dog this year lads ha ) . Ended the evening with watching sun set behind the dublin hills.
Great day and to enjoy it with my daughter of 4 1/2 years old was just even better. Teach em young . Wonder why she'll be telling in school tomoro :)

Been there, done that and completely agree with you....nothing short of brilliant. My nine year old is still going on about the red pricket he spotted two weeks ago and resides in our freezer now.

Ah was wondering when you would turn up.
In fairness tho I did smell that pheasant before the dog did. I just can't be arsed getting down on my hands and knees and pointing my finger to where the pheasant was

Anyway to add to this I took my daughter out again after work yesterday at 6 and walked around same area. Was met with a pricket in first field and later we watched a stag and 2 does eating for a few minutes. After that we headed for the car when a fox ran down a path an almost made it home before I plugged him at the edge of the ditch.
So not much to add to that but nice evening all the same.
