Ok I know everyone's different but how long should it take an adult to learn to drive....no previous experience
How long to get good at handling the clutch & gears?

Everyone learning to drive is an adult (at least 17+) - maybe be a bit more specific?

You just need to get out and start practicing and get lessons when necessary. Get a good instructor.
    Good luck.

That is like asking is how long is a piece of string. There is no one answer. Everyone is different. A lot would depend on how often you get lessons & how much practice driving you do in between lessons & prior to doing your test. Someone who does one lesson per month & can only do 1 hr of practice driving per week, is not going to learn as quickly as someone who gets a lesson every week & does a lot of practice driving.
