Swap up your "Worthless" phone for a more valuable one!

Recently i've started to swap phones on Adverts. I thought i'd share my method. People might already do this but Anyway. The whole idea is to swap up. Swapping faulty with faulty and eventually ending up with a very decent phone for very little cash (No more than €25).

So I started off with an IPhone 3GS (Got it for free from a friend), It was worth about €45 had some work done but didn't cost much. I then swapped that 3GS for a Galaxy s2. That had a broken screen. I did absolutely nothing to it and swapped it for an IPhone 4. The IPhone 4 is faulty so worth about €85-90. Il put another 10 into the IPhone get it up and running and swap it for an s3 which should be worth about €150.

So We've gone from a €45 phone to a €150 phone for about €20. In theory if you do this right you could end up with a top end phone for very little money. The downside is its a lot of risk dealing with faulty phones and it is time consuming. But in the end its very worth it!

Just thought i'd share this for people tired of spending big money on phones.

But but but...why would someone swap a €150 phone for an €85 phone?

You're assuming that it will only cost you €10 to fix the iPhone and that when you do someone will swap it for an s3. Come back to us when both those things happen.

Well you get my gist anyway i'm assuming? Why would someone swap a €45 phone for an €85 phone?

Selling one thing on adverts is an annoying enough process as it is. I think I'll just buy a new phone, thanks

Hmmm there is a alot of time involved in this process.

Id imagine its more for the joy of actually achieving it!

But all the same fair play!

Generally does not work for a bike or a car, so will not work for a phone. People are not fools.

I'd imagine most people would think the other way : swap my broken phone for a working one is an obvious win. If you have the time and know how to fix a phone it's worth a shot. But I wonder if you just went straight to offering a hundred quid for a broken S4 and fixing it would you not save hassle.

Wouldn't be going for any sort of phone off adverts. The state of some of them they call 'comes as new' or good condition whatever.

First, let me assure you that this is not one of those shady pyramid schemes you've been hearing about. No sir. Our model is the trapezoid!

I know several people who swapped their way up to decent cars. 1 guy went from an old hatchback Nissan sunny to an evo 7 with just swaps, took him years but got there in the end.

As someone already said, it is the achievement more than anything.
