FS: White Planet X Nanolight Frame - Large

This is the 2010 model, size large. This frame has been used and abused - crashed a couple of times racing in 2012/13. I rode it all last winter with no bother apart from headset issues. I've replaced bearings about 4 times in the last 18 months.

Frame comes with FSA Carbon seat post and 2 Planet X carbon bottle cages (cost£20 each new).

All in I am looking for €100, collected in Dublin 18.

Bargain price reflects condition of the frame. It'll do grand for a turbo bike or winter hack but not much else.

Any structural damage from the crashes?

Not that i know of but it's never been xrayed. I rode it all last winter and did big mileage with no bother. The issue is the headset and the frame has a fair few marks and scratches as per the photo.

Can you explain what the issue is with the headset? I guess I'm asking if it's a simple case of replacing the headset or if something has happened the headtube?

Nothing has happened to the headtube afaik. I expect this is a design fault with this model but I am not a bike mechanic. I met a guy last year with the same frame who'd had headset issues before too. If you know your way around a bike you could probably maintain the headset much better than I did. You're also welcome to come and inspect.
