I was thinking lately, I never get excited anymore.

Even if it's something I should get excited for. Nothing. Must be getting older!

    Do you get excited?

Away days for the football team I support. Meet up with family & friends I know from London and hit the road. Some of the best days of my life.

    I get excited for:

    The odd night out
When there's a big boxing match or mma fight coming up
A good gig to go to
Getting a good ride (long time coming)
When I see my food coming

I get excited a lot. The excitement is usually accompanied by a semi hard on too.

I saw some pics of the Millennium Falcon on a set which was a Cold War airbase. That got me pretty excited. I'm 42 years old.

Always struggle to sleep the night before something big. So yeah, suppose I do. I will also maybe sing to my self or do a little jig if no one watching.

Being miserable is much more fun.

Of course I, what kind of life would it be if we couldn't get excited by things.

I will never understand the need people have nowadays to be constantly bitter and cynical and whiney.

Life is to be lived and enjoyed to the fullest and if you can't or won't do that at all then with all due respect perhaps you need a little help....and I only mean that in the nicest possible way.

Yes, I do.Sometimes, I have to work up the excitement. Same as everything in life that isn't 'new'.

Make a conscious effort and the fruits will flow.

    Women's boobies.
    Going to the beach.
Choosing what i'm going to have from chipper or chinese etc etc.
    Finishing up work on Friday.
Waking up on Saturday and knowing i'm not back in work till monday.
    Sporting events i'm interested in.
    Oh and boobies.

There's a word for that: Anhedonia. Woody Allen was going to call one of his movies that, but the film studio said nobody knew what that meant, so he changed it to Annie Hall.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

―Oscar Wilde predicting Social Media, in The Picture of Dorian Gray
