Indesit Drier drum not turning

Have an indesit tumble drier, it started making a squeaking noise a few weeks back and now the drum wont turn and theres a burning smell if I turn it on, drum gets very hot. Anyone any ideas of how much service might cost? Wondering is it worth it or would I be better off getting a new one. I did a quick check online and I…

Sounds like the drum has seized and the burning smell is the motor rubbing the drive belt that can't turn the drum. Might be worth trying to use a spray oil on the drum bearing to see if it frees up.

Worth checking that there is nothing stuck behind the drum first.
