    Hi
I am getting married in a few months and i am looking for a makeup artist at present. Is it the norm to just book someone that you have not had a trial with? I thought i could try out different makeup artists and choose who i like best. But when i went to book a trial with someone i had never had makeup done with before she said that i am to secure the date and have the trial closer to the wedding. Is this how this works?

You might get more replies in the wedding forum. But it's up to you really, that was the way I did it but others have done trials with a few different people before booking.
