7:40 Dundalk looks a very competitive apprentice race with many who will feel they have chances. In terms of breeding and form, Waver is justified favourite and should surely go quite close. Murtagh's horse won by a proverbial mile off a joke of a mark at Lingfield, but is top weight today and against much stiffer competition. Teochris is popular in the betting too, but it surely lacks the quality to win this, even off a low mark. One who I do fancy though and who I have been watching is Lonan. Has won here before, has some decent form in the bag being narrowly beaten in Galway by a Mullins runner which almost certainly will go into doing better things. Decent value at 7/1 and hopefully it can go very close this evening.

Have taken Lucida at 11/8 in the big race at Newmarket today. No price at all and the stable is in woeful form, but this one surely should be far too good for everything else here off the back of a seriously impressive performance during Champions Week. Everything else running against it will need to find at least half a stone.

Is anyone watching Jonjo being interviewed here on channel 4 regarding Holywell. Such lies being sprouted it is absolutely sickening

    What did he say?

Lucida somehow managed to win and give me plenty of heart attacks in running. Manning is some jockey for getting himself stuck behind traffic. That should have been a lot easier for Lucida than it was.

My heart skipped a beat 2f out, but she gets it done nicely for a finish.

4 Irish raiders out today, first 2 have won. Hopefully the other 2 come in and the bookies get cleaned.

Have to have my 2 euro on La Cuesta in the 3:35 at Haydock at 3/1. Watched this LTO and was seriously impressed when it pulled clear to win by a distance. Has raced in group company since and wasn't disgraced. 5lb lower than the current favourite, hopefully it breaks well and can keeps its head before the it. Cam Hardie also been going great guns in the last few weeks.

Duroob is one that goes well at Downpatrick, connections obviously feel this has a decent run left in it. 12/1 a decent price considering how well handicapped it is.
