How to Protect Steel Brake Lines

Car is an 03 Corolla. 1.4 petrol h/b.

It failed the NCT for corrosion on the steel brake lines where they turn into the flexies.

Got all 4 corners replaced with copper lines and passed the re-test.

Question is now, how to prevent any more rusting of the lines? Any sign of rust on these lines is a common NCT failure.

I'd rather not have to replace the lines any further back as it involves more stripping. Is there not any kind of protective cover on these?

    Paint them with grease.

    The copper won't rust.
You can protect the rest with Hammerite Waxoyl

Not sure what the original lines are made from.

I think I'll Waxoyl the entire underbody and smear grease over the brake lines.

These are such reliable, low maintenance motors, it'd be a shame to let it go to loss due to rust.
