I decided to bleach my cupboards the other day, would I really still be feeling crappy?

If you mix bleach with certain other cleaning products (possibly with anything acidic, if I recall correctly), you create chlorine gas, which is toxic. If you didn't mix stuff though, not sure.

Wash all surfaces down immediately with petrol and sanatise with tcp afterwards.

I did that. Was cleaning the jax and used the end of a bottle of harpic but it didn't make it all the way around the bowl, so did the rest of it with toilet duck. Big mistake! Took ages to get the smell out of the house.

I used to use toilet duck when I ran out of soap, never did me any harm.

This has caused deaths, particularly in the industrial cleaning profession. Mixing bleach's with products designed to dissolve limescale (acids) releases a gas and if breathed in will cause a foam like substance to form in your lungs, which can kill you.

On a related note. Whats the gas released when one takes a piss in a freshly bleached loo. That'd knock you out sometimes or at least make your eyes water. I'm not taking about farts btw.

Bleach + Ammonia = Toxic gas. So ya, flush first.
