samsung s7710 / sd card issue

fitted a 16 gb sd card recently when my phone warned that memory was full. I formatted sd card . I have set the camera to transfer onto card for example but phone wont allow me access pictures ,it just warns me of insufficient memory . i`m first to admit I am not the most up to speed with smart phones etc . am I missing…
