detones has been bombarding me with texts over the last few days saying he wants another spin and wants everyone to see how ,in his words, "how damn sexy I look in my Boards kit"

Following on from last years spin for LPB and cancer and since its been well over a year.....
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=84988432
how about a trip across the barely paved roads tree lined buolevards of North County Dublin
Route pretty similar to last years although a recce run will be done to see and link a strava link.
How does some Sunday in November sound!

Can we or the mods do a poll thing for dates for Sundays in November. Not sure how they work. Also if there is good interest maybe there would be 2 distances on the day to cater for all.

Sounds good, so.who else's is in? For anyone interested Bcmf's routes will be a spin to remember! Hes a big fan of the pave and mucky lanes. Previous spins have been great crack with some scenic and challenging stretches around North Co. Dublin. Think we've had on prievous spins Green mat, need more gears, billyhead, inrush, wikibmc, Victor carerra, tbear, killalaner, inquitus, funkyjebus, blah blah, cdaly, and many more I can't remember. RobFowl may even turn up if his alarm clock is working ;-)

If you wish to encourage maximum participation it really needs to be either relatively straightforward or with perhaps a shorter option

Since I missed last year's LPB spin I'll gladly take part this time round depending on college commitments. Don't possess a racer however, only a hybrid which I can manage 80-100km on, but wouldn't want to be holding others back.

Can someone state what date options they want to go into a poll. For info a few of us will probably be heading off to the CI AGM on Saturday 1 November and one or two may even be going to the IVCA equivalent on Sunday the 9th;). Obviously the later it is left the higher the risk of the weather turning.

Just to be clear - I will not be sheparding the slowest riders round like I did last year - no someone else can do that, and give me a tow while they are at it....

Is it possible to set up a charity page of some sort so people can donate even if they can't make the spin?

Possibly slightly off topic but is cancer a preferred charity? The Junior tour is looking very shaky due to a lack of finding and could it be run in aid of that instead???

IVCA AGM on the 9th so that won't suit me.

On the topic of which cause to support the origins of this thread and the background of what happened last year should not be forgotten in my view.

I would add though that I am very confident that the momentum generated at the CI AGM in connection with the Junior Tour will be sufficient to sort that event out for a year or two

It's looks like this is clashing with the Gerard Branigan over in Clonee on Sunday. So with the Vets AGM and mud racing taking up the following weekend I may leave this to either a Xmas spin or in the new year

The Gerry Brannigan and IVCA AGM are both on 9th Nov.

I'm hoping to attend both so I voted for 16th, but Xmas or New Year spin works for me too.

New year works for me but yis'll have to wait even longer for me to haul the Christmas pud up all of those hills.

Apologies but I'm Late to thread and I've only skimmed it

16th works for me and I've voted same
Post Chrimbo/New Year would do the trick too
