Hi I have approx 1000 euro to spend on a set of new wheels.
    My current wheels are ultegra's.
I'm thinking mavic cosmic sls would they be the best set I can get for the money?

What about getting some built rather than off the peg? Sure e1000 will be a great set regardless mind.
    good luck with the search.

I would go the custom build route for sure. For a good bit less than 1k you can have a top quality serviceable wheelset designed and built exactly the way you want.
