if you really wanted 'something' and the only person you knew could get 'it' was your exes friend would you text the friend or is that crossing a line?

I presumed it was sex too, especially given the quotation marks around "something" and "it". I was predicting a slew of gallant AHers volunteering to help a damsel in distress.

I wouldn't see this person often enough to ask face-to-face.

I'm sure he'd find it weird if I turned up on his door without a bit of warning as to why I was there! Usually they need a bit o' notice to 'sort things out'

It would be weird if you didn't tell him why you were there, but surely upon explaining yourself the reason for your presence would become a little more clear?

I get what you're saying but I wouldn't have called to his house before so I wouldn't do it now either.

I thought a text explaining myself would work. Then a meet up afterwards. Turning up at his door would be very weird, I think.
