Old bike - high Nelly style
    So old still steel frame

Need to strip back old paint on stripped down frame - however I am unsure whether sandblasting is a good idea on old metal ...

Anyone have experience / opinions on sandblasting?

They're steel so sand blasting wouldn't do then any harm.

Just make sure to ask for fine sanblasting mix, otherwise you'll get this:

True, it looks good before being painted :) Not so good when you're after the original glossy paint effect.

Otherwise there's no harm in blasting steel with rough mix.
