    Hello everyone,

Im going to fit two work lamps to the rear of my truck, just not sure been LED lights do I have to fit a relay in the loom. I'll be wiring from the battery positive a fuse and switch but the lights will be on for long periods an I know LED's have less of a draw of electricity but just confused about whether to fit relay of not.

    Thanks for any help.

Relay is to protect any switch and existing wiring in the circuit.

If you are wiring straight off the battery just make sure the switch and wire you buy has a greater current rating ( plus a margin ) than the combined lamp current (lamp current is wats divided by voltage)

If you are wiring off existing headlights then you need a relay to protect your existing headlight/dim switches and wiring
