Self build insurance cover damage to house?

    Anyone know if self build insurance will cover a broken window?

    Depends on the policy.

    If it does the excess might outweight the window cost. My excess is 600 euro.

    thanks 893bet i forgot about the excess. our policy has€650 excess for material damage. its one of the largest windows thats been damaged but knowing our luck it will cost just under €600 to replace!

    also consider that this may qualify as a claim under a home insurance policy. You may have to factor in loss of no claims bonus.

    Self build policy is a totally separate policy to my knowledge.
