    Hi,

Just wondering is this a common problem and if anyone has any advice?

-I work, but I never really feel like it (it takes effort to go to work and come half 5 I fly out the door whilst everyone else does overtime). I also keep to myself mainly at work
-I haven't been on a date in over 2 years. My ex dumped me in harsh circumstances in March 2012, I've set up around 5-10 dates via online dating but never actually been bothered to go on them. It's like I don't feel like putting in the effort to impress someone or want to deal with the awkwardness of meeting someone new. Also after my previous experience i'm worried about getting close to someone new
-I am not an active member of anything social such as a soccer club or volunteering or anything like that. My weekends are spent with the same 2 or 3 people drinking, going for coffee and watching soccer.

I've started to go to the gym which is an improvement but at 24 years of age I feel like I should be way more motivated in all of the above areas. I'm young so my motivation should be through the roof. I spoke to my GP who asked me a series of questions and then came to the conclusion that i'm not depressed. But if i'm not depressed then what is my problem? As an aside, I suffer from pretty bad health anxiety. And moderate levels of social anxiety. Anyone got some advice? Cheers.
