    Hi

There's a building going for sale which used to be a pub / restaurant . It's in middle of small village

I'm thinking of buying it and making it into a residential house.

Would this be possible , legal wise. There is a residential house attached next to it .

You'd need to apply for a change of use, likelyhood of getting it varies hugely on council area and other factors. If its had its licence transferred already it is effectively being sold with that in mind. If it hasn't, expect it to cost a lot more than just a house.
