FAS/Solas Course - requirements to qualify?

    Hi all

    Anyone know what the requirements are to qualify for a FAS/Solas course? Do you have to be on the live register for a certain amount of time?

    Anyone know what the waiting lists are like for the courses these days?

    Information here http://www.fas.ie/en/training/home/default.htm Courses free for unemployed people. No minimum qualifying period to take free courses, just to be in receipt of a Social Welfare payment. If you are employed but want a course there will be a charge, usually reasonable. Sometimes financial help is available for courses not run by Fas/Solas. You can check which courses are on offer online but would need to go to local office to apply and check on waiting lists etc.
