Club to train with in Dublin

Unfortunately due to series of poor choices I am forced to leave my beloved Connacht and head east to the big shmoke for work. I had already transferred back to my home club for this season but with the new job I wont be able to make any trainings mid week.

Would anyone know of any club in Dublin, that would be looking for people to train with them. I cant transfer again AFAIK until next season and I want to have one last craic at winning something with my home club. Im used to playing around J1 J2 level and based in Clongriffin but would be willing to travel to get some training in.

Alternatively, is there anyone who has been in my position and tried some other form of training to keep the fitness/sharpness up. A friend of mine recommend circuits but wouldnt mind a second opinion. Cheers in advances lads

Well the two closet clubs to you would be Suttonians and Clontarf I think. Maybe give them a shout and see what you can organise?

If you fancy some kicking practice there is a rugby pitch out by 'the coast' in Baldoyle Racecourse Park not too far from you. I think Suttonians use it for some matches.

As AK said, Suttonians and Clontarf are your best bet or failing that Malahide.

Think the biggest problem will be an insurance one, not sure your clubs insurance will cover you for training with another club. Suttonians probably would be more than welcoming other than that.

I joined Suttonians this year. Also a connacht man, but I have been injured so barely shown my face , but it seems ok. You should have no probably transferring again this early in the season, and if there is any issue just explain your circumstances and you will be signed over. I got a player transferred from a connacht club to a Leinster club before the last game of the season last year. As long as your not John Muldoon or someone class there will be zero reason why you couldn't transfer clubs.

I think if you're moving more than 50 miles or something from your club, you should be able to transfer. Once its obvious you're not taking the piss, the transfer should be allowed to go through.

IRFU are keen to keep junior players in the game where possible
