Looking for a day out at weekend. My son is 3 at Christmas and I was wondering is there much point bringing him to the caves or would he bored stiff?

He'd probably be bored stiff or scared. I'd keep a tight hold on him too.
Take him to see the falcons down the hill instead.

I've been there with older kids that 3 and they really liked the cave santa.

But if you're going just for a regular weekend there isn't much craic imo. As said maybe the birds will be more popular.

We went to the pet farm outside lougrea... he loved it. Your average play area but a massive 'inflatable city'. 4 hours for twelve euro well worth it
