New Sky software R010.070.58.13P

Have many of you receieved the new software yet? R010.070.58.13P or R010.070.58.06P whichever one it is?
I'm waiting patiently for it as the feature they brought in on the last update i.e. pressing the back up button brings you to the "home" screen does my head in. I always press it to get rid of the banner after i go to a channel and it just pops me into the home screen. Very annoying for me.
I have both the DRX895w and the DRX890 and neither of them have gotten the update yet just wondering if many Irish sky boxes have received said update yet.

I have it since last week and i also hated the backup button recent change so i changed it back to the way it was before the previous upgrade

Still waiting for it here.

I rang Sky a few days ago to ask when I'd get it and they said hopefully in the next few days, but she didn't seem too sure. I wish the forced update would install it but doesn't.

Yep seems to be nothing we can do until its rolled out for our boxes. Odd that its not on the force update stream but sky knows best.

Glad to see i'm not the only one who couldnt stand the "back up to planner" feature

Mine updated last night.

So did mine...well one of my boxes (DRX895W) did but not the other. Its updated to R010.070.58.06P now not the .13P one

Yes my 2 just went to the 6p one. Afaik the 13 is like another update, just a matter of waiting.

Not really bothered about the .13P one now that i can finally get rid of that back up to planner "feature"

I think it's great, one press of a button to get to the planner, what's not to like ? You can still use it to get rid of the banner.

Is it the new software revision that now finally adds the S2 function for adding free hd channels to the other channels listing?

Does the update itself change the backup button behavior or you need to set your preferences somewhere?

I think the back up function is good. For example if you use it when you are in other channels it is very handy when changing from one "other channel" to another without going through the whole rigmarole(hope that's spelt right!)

It means you can kind of use "other channels" as a separate entity and I find, get much more use out of them especially now with all the HD channels stored there.

I suppose its all down to preferences.

It's in one of the settings menu.

Bah, I still haven't gotten it. I know we can't force it with an update, but any tips on how to ensure I'm not missing it somewhere - eg should I be keeping it on overnight? (it goes to standby)

Had the software update today aswell and you will know when the box updated as there,s a blue panel popup telling you about the new software on start up,my box was unpluged since lastnite only piuged it in about a hour ago updated, and my 2nd box got off advert has,nt got this update yet .regards bored_stupid
