    Hi all

My question is fairly self explanatory. Most of the jobs I'm applying for/interested in on sites like irishjobs.ie, momster.ie etc are through recruitment agencies.
What I'm wondering is if there's any advantage in arranging a meeting with recruiters as opposed to simply forwading cv and cover letter
A meeting as in general and not just for one specific job listing if that makes sense.
Applying for jobs in research and/or anslysis.

    Any advice/tips greatly appreciated.

I'd be interested in hearing people's thoughts on this too.

Most recruiters will insist on meeting you in person before they'll submit you for a job, so you won't have much choice most of the time. I accept that it can be annoying and time-consuming when you're dealing with a lot of different recruiters, but you have to kind of see it from their point of view too - five minutes in person will give them a much better overall sense of you as a candidate than anything your CV/cover letter can tell them.
