Is it possible to go down the river barrow on a kayak , sit on avoiding wiers?

I'ed like to kayak from carlow or Milford to Leighlinbridge or Bagnelstown.

to the best of my knowledge it is......there are lock gates at most if not all of the weirs that all you to walk around them. 1 Disclaimer though I'm more familiar with the stretch from clashganny down not the section you've mentioned.

I have only done the section from Goresbridge to St Mullins, carried boats at all locks so avoiding weirs. Fabulous paddle with stunning scenery and wildlife. Highly recommend it.
