Boiler Servicing Tramore?

Renting an old house in the Tramore area with oil central heating. The boiler seems pretty ancient and with the winter approaching (sorry) I'm wondering should I get (or ask the landlord to get) someone to service the boiler? Would it be worth it? Would it cost much?

get the landlord to service it they have an obligation for this not you
