Whats the laziest or "ah sure, thats grand" attitude you've seen in Ireland/abroad?

This picture is going around today, from River Island in Blanchardstown.

Now it could be argued that a whole escalator cant be taken out to finish a wall, but that could be countered with it was poor planning to begin with.

The new symbol of Ireland is the harp with one broken string: Ah sure, it'll do! :P

A wonky plastic chair on a corridor of the oncology ward in St Vincent's Hospital, with a sign saying "chair broken - do not use".

It would have been quicker to just move it.

It's great to have all these superior Irish folks among us peasants though in fairness.

It is very obvious that the main bulk of the wall was painted using a large brush or roller and that a different method is now required for the section behind the glass side wall of the escalator.

Obviously. A "skinny roller brush yoke-a-ma-chig" will do it. But the point is they didnt use it.

The Late Late Show's guest selection, I'm convinced they're just too lazy to ask genuine celebrities/people of interest to come on it so they keep asking Aengus Mac Grianna, Bob Geldof and Shane Filan.

But, but.. it is grand? Don't see what the problem is myself.

If I was painting it I might be tempted to go up the escalator holding the end of a paint brush down onto the handrail just so it follows the curve a bit better but that would be it.

Painters only work about the same hours per day as everyone else, Maybe they will come back and do it another day?

Or just paint the glass of the escalator:D

Id say they will just put a sticker or decal on the glass to cover the brick.

This is the latest craze. Whitewashing a natural finish. Next door neighbour just whitewashed her whole house. Clad completely in stone when built 12 years ago. Looks awful. What was wrong with the natural brick finish? Likely a hygiene issue. Stop dust accumulation or something.

Clear sealer, ftw. They took a no-maintenance finish and created a wall that needs painting every year or two. Eejits. Simple as.

And the white looks shyte compared to the expensive brick too. Next lad hired will be there to strip it back, for the "natural" look.

It looks like the bricks were never meant to be painted over to begin with.

They have just started painting those white bricks in attractive shades of brown and orange. Obviously started at the bottom. Will be grand when it is finished.

Local shop has one of those traffic cone style wet floor signs covering a hole in the ground that must be there a year at this stage.

A lot of places leave them around permanently to avoid lawsuits too.

All laziness and lack of planning aside, can you imagine the cost of painting a few walls that size?!

    I blame the water charges.

Yeah. A place I used to work, the staff had to set out wet floor signs in the bathroom first thing in the morning as part of their open procedure. It was purely as a kind of magic lawsuit deflector.
