I have a mink around me eating my hens and ducks + turkeys (seen him and he is just killing the pullets and leaving them there ) and was wondering about trapping him in a Larsen trap and making my own one good idea or bad plz help.

is there anywhere near ya you could buy a mink trap? if it was a box larsen trap it could work alright if you can't get one just put some bait in and when he pops down into it u could have him. Seen a picture on here where a fellow trapped a fox in one.

Dig a hole, put a length of 4" Wavin pipe in at a steep angle with some sardines at the bottom. You'll catch mink no problem ;)

    Bad idea!

Firstly, why make a magpie cage to catch a mink? It's very seldom you catch mink, or a fox in a Larson!
Secondly, by the time you make a mink trap, you could lose another 40 or 50 euro worth of birds! Bite the bullet, and invest in a mink trap! Cost ya 30 euro or less, and you can keep it set year round!

He will be back again no doubt. If you keep fowl in an area with mink its best keep a trap down all the time
