Location for Barry Lyndon

I have read that one of the locations for the movie "Barry Lyndon" by Stanley Kubrick was Moorstown Castle, not far from Clonmel, in co. Tipperary.
I presume that this castle was the background for the fighting scene between Barry Lyndon and Mr O'Toole, about 35 minutes into the movie.
I have been to Moorstown and took some photos around. That castle has a massive and tall tower house within the bawn, well visible from every point around the walls, but this tower is not visible in the scenes, so I think that I have misunderstood something.
Can you tell me, please, where that scene was filmed? And what other scene was, instead, filmed at Moorstown Castle?
    Thanks a million!

It might have been in Germany or England. I think Kubrick had intended to shoot everything in Ireland but abandoned production here quite suddenly after troubles in the north flared up and he was led to believe he was on an IRA hit list for using British soldiers in the battle scenes. There was also talk of bomb threats, etc. Whether his life was actually under threat is questionable, but the problems in the north weren’t much reported abroad at the time and this was only a few years after he received death threats for A Clockwork Orange.

One of Kubrick's best which is saying a lot. I knew that a lot of the Irish scenes were shot in Powerscourt in Wicklow but didn't know where a lot of the outside shots were taken.

All I can offer is the wiki entry:
Some exterior shots were also filmed at Waterford Castle (now a luxury hotel and golf course) and Little Island, Waterford. Moorstown Castle in Tipperary also featured. Several scenes were filmed at Castletown House outside Carrick-on-Suir, Co.Tipperary, and at Youghal, Co. Cork.

Yes, I know this part of the story, I have read it some days ago.
Anyway, if you have seen the movie or have the DVD, you can see that at about 35 minutes into the movie there's a fight scene between two characters and in the background there's a ruined castle that I thought was Moorstown. The mountain in the background looks very like Galtymore, which is in that area, but something's wrong with that castle because only the bawn is visible in the movie, the tall tower inside the castle yard doesn't appear so I think that the castle featured in that scene isn't Moorstown. When I visited the place the landowner told me that Kubrick and his crew of hundreds men stayed on his land for days, so the place that I visited was used in the making, but things don't match...
Some scenes were filmed at Cahir Castle and at Kells Priory, very recognizable. And some other in Powerscourt, the Wicklow Mountains in the background can't lie ;)
All the rest was filmed Germany, Switzerland and England.

Yes, that wiki entry is what I have read, and if you go here
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moorstown_Castle
You will read that it says the same thing. The tower pictured in this page isn't visible at all in the movie, at least in the scene that I think was filmed there. But I can be wrong and this castle appears in a different scene of the movie, or, it doesn't appear at all. Probably the scene was taken and discarded later...
