best place to change Euro to Sterling

    Looking to change over a 5 figure sum from Euro to Sterling and wondered the best place for this to keep as much money as possible in my own pocket?

    I read somewhere the banks and post office ect are not the best places to be doing this (cant mind where) so wondered if there was an other way on how to do it?
