trying to decide on which one to get is not easy, but out of these 2 which one would you choose, the obvious difference being carbon v aluminium, i have a carbon tarmac at the minute (very basis spec, sora etc) , but want to upgrade to a higher spec bike, i don't fancy upgrading what i have, i might keep it as a 2nd bike or sell it to get the €€€ for the new one, so which is it to be......

Out of these two, I would take the black one, because it looks nicer.
But if I was to spend my own money, I would consider other bikes as well. The black one seems to be on a low side of value for money.

I would buy a Giant or Ridley or Trek or Focus or anything else other than Specialized. A large proportionate of the price is for the name alone hence why similarly priced orher brands are generally considerably higher spec'd.

As above that second bike is seriously over priced.

Giant TCR 1 with ultegra for 1799 from giant or the propel. That's without going near the likes of canyons cf SL range where you'll get a better wheel set and similar spec for less €€€ and they're seriously light sub 7kg

Yikes the second one was the cheaper one. Yeah I think I'd give spec a miss not enough bang for your buck IMO.

    Seems massively over priced.
I bought a Storck of these lads here. The propel is here also and I think a better bike than the 2 you are looking at there.

I would concentrate on comparing a bike vs bike, regardless of material the frame is made of.
