    Hi all,

I would like your advice on purchasing a new pc. I have a fairly limited knowledge when it comes to building pcs. Filled out the question thingy there. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Power supply in my current pc (awful thing) is about to go.

    1. What is your budget? 1000 - 1500

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Music Production primarily (Using High End Orchestral Sound Banks -- 16gb ram wouldn't go amiss), but a somewhat decent graphics card that won't become obsolete immediately would be ideal. I'd like a decent size tower with enough slots for extra hdds etc.

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? No

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? Couple of old internal harddrives (Not SSD), dvd player, even a hot swap drive.

    5. Do you need a monitor? no

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? 1920*1080 ---no

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? No

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? Uncertain

    8. How can you pay? [Bank Transfer/Credit Card/Laser] all of the above

    9. When are you purchasing? ASAP

    thanks in advance
