Is there place where I can buy a part worn tyre in the greater Cork area? One of the things that my car failed on for its NCT was on the front passenger tyre.

Will a part worn tyre get me through the test?

    Cheers in advance lads.

You buy tires for longer than the test...

But yes, a part worn should get you through the test, provided it has a legal amount do thread on it. Every car on the road is running part worn tires to some degree...!

I believe Kelleher Tyres in Victoria Cross does part-worns - good German imports with varying levels of tread.
