    Hi folks,

I am looking to begin a career in IT/ Business but am not sure exactly what I should be aiming for. I just turned 25 and I finished college last year and have a Level 7 degree in Business and IT. I am not too confident this alone will be enough to gain an entry position in any decent company so have been looking at Internships as a more viable option. I've been out of college for more than a year now working a part time job (I couldn't work full time due to circumstances) and would be a bit rusty at this stage when it comes to my skillset. I don't really fancy going back to college and would just like to begin a career at this stage. Going back to college would be a last resort in other words.

Do you think an internship through Jobbridge would be a decent option? I've read some bad reports of companies exploiting the system and advertising rubbish positions. Slave labour basically. I could take the hit money wise for 6 months or so if it will help me get on the ladder. Has anyone in my position used Jobbridge to successfully get on the ladder?

    Any advise is much appreciated!

Maybe you should apply for some customer service / customer support jobs to get your foot in the door rather than going for interns where you will receive little to no pay?

It's not about the money right now I could take the hit for 6 or 9 months. Would a good internship not broaden my skillset more than a job in customer support?

If you don't mind doing an internship then there's no harm in doing one, personally an internship for me is a last resort but each to their own.
