Down from NON-LIVE PLUCKED BIRDS

    Hi,

The chiropractor has recommended to use a down pillow.

I'd like to get a pillow that uses feathers that are a by-product of the food chain as opposed to feathers from that are plucked from poor birds while they are still alive and whose feathers will be plucked again and again once they grow back.

I honestly don't think I could sleep on pillows not knowing if they were the end-product of so much suffering to the birds.

Does anybody know where I could get down pillows in Dublin that are guaranteed cruelty-free?

    Thanks in advance.

If it helps anybody who is thinking of going with a down duvet/pillows etc (having researched it the pros and cons of each I'm getting a wool duvet!):

John Lewis sell cruelty-free down duvets and they deliver internationally.

From their website: "All our natural bedding suppliers provide us with a guarantee that their feather and down is sourced only as a by-product of the food industry. In addition, they’re monitored to ensure they practice the highest standards of animal welfare."

I didn't know anything about this horrific practice. It would be great to hear from you if you're aware of other cruelty-free suppliers.
