    Hi All,

I received an email earlier today which came as a great surprise to me but was full of good news.

    Bascically I need some advice/help!!!

    See email below:

    Dear Friend,

I am Alumalik Gafa, i was the personal lawyer to Steven Williams, a citizen of your country who used to Work with construction company here in Turkey.Steven Williams is 68 years of age, made a fixed deposit of fund valued at USD$14,500,000 (Fourteen Million, Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars Only) with a Security Company/Finance institution in Turkey and unfortunately lost his life in air craft with is family, he left no clear beneficiary as Next of Kin except Some vital documents related to the deposit still in my possession. Recently, the governing body of the Security Company/Finance institution contacted me on this matter, requesting that I should notify the next of kin of my late client to claim the funds and I am yet to provide the Next of Kin to lay claims to the Fund. I knew my client had no living next of kin and i have made lots of search to see if i can get in contact to any of his relatives but my search was fruitless to locate any of his extended relatives. A clear and legitimate agreement with you, I seek your consent to present you as the next of kin so that my late client's fund will not be confiscated by the Financial Regulatory Authority. You and I will share the money, you will be entitled to 40% of the total fund for your role as the relative and next of kin of my late client, 60% for me. Be informed that there is no risk involved as all necessary legal document which will be used to back you up as the legal beneficiary and next of kin of my late client will be procured. All I require is your sincerity, honesty, co-operation and utmost good faiths to enable us see this deal through. I guarantee that this will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect you from any breach of law. Kindly, get in touch with me by my e-mail or telephone to enable us discuss further. You may also send your telephone number so that I can call you. Do not forget that a transaction of this magnitude require utmost confidentiality and sincerity. I look forward to your urgent response.

    Thank you,

    Alumalik Gafa

He lost his life "in air craft". Has he looked for it in the seat back in front of him? I always leave stuff there.

Seems legit to me. Maybe you should send him your bank details in advance just to be on the safe side.

Give it a good wipe before you hand it to anyone else or you might end up on a register.

That wouldn't be Alumalik Gafa from Ballyfermot would it?
He was great in school. Always said he would study law. Great to hear he is doing so well.

I think you should report him to the Turkish financial regulator. He's proposing an unethical deal here.

It's alright for a laugh, but these scummers target the most vulnerable in society (someone in the early stages of Alzheimer's, for example), and should be treated with the disgust they deserve.

Tell him you'll send all the details as soon as the lads from India have fixed your computer

Take the money and keep it in a floor safe in your house.

Reply enthusiastically and profusely thank him for this amazing opportunity and then ask him to call you to discuss how you can help on the premium rate number you've set up in the meantime.

I was gonna play hard ball and ask for a 60/40 split in my favour, then maybe settle on 50/50 if I have to

I wan't to get the tough negotiations out of the way first before we shake on a deal

In fairness his doing me a favour here, I don't wanna get him in trouble after all the effort he has gone to to find me.
