So, UEFA just announced that Dublin is to play host to 3 group games and one Last 16 game in Euro 2020.

The competition is being spread over the whole continent, and 13 cities were chosen as host cities, from Baku in Azerbaijan in the East to Dublin in the West.

If Ireland qualify two of their three group games would be held here.

    Great news for the city!

It is indeed. We have the infrastructure, the stadium and the hotel rooms to make it a success. We've already hosted a Europa League final - although that was a bit overshadowed by Obama and the queen's visit.

Let's hope we qualify for it.

Oh, and another thing is that it will probably cost us feck all bar a bigger Garda overtime bill. Much cheaper than bidding to host the Rugby World Cup
