Few hotels at the airport which are very reasonable. Any of the ones though in the city are quite expensive and with the good transport between airport and city its not a problem to stay there. Nightlife is limited though the old town of geneva on the far side of the lack is good night. Different to the type of nightlife in most big cities but there are good bars and restaurants about.

I'd agree the old town is where most of the bars are. There's also a few around the train station but the old town definitely had a better atmosphere.

Generaly Geneva is expensive. If you got a car it is a good idea to find a place to sleep somewhere in France. Way cheaper. If this is not the option then try City Hostel.

I stayed there few times and i can recomend it (check tripadvisor). It is only 5 minutes walk from train station. Airport in Geneva is very close to the city. It takes about 7 minutes train ride only.

I can recomend you one pub/brewery in the city centre. I don't remember the name but it is located on Place de la Fusterie. Great place.

Think I know the one you are talking about there is one straight across from train station. Cracking spot with decent grub and reasonable beer for Geneva and they do they big jugs
