Just make sure you read the small print when it comes to the higher qualifying amounts (75/100€), the € off vouchers are for 2 transactions not one.

You can't spend 100€ now, get 20€ voucher for your next 100€ shop, you get 2 x 10€ vouchers for amounts over 50€, so you need to split the shopping at check-out or go more than once.

But a 20% discount is not bad.

IT's better that way though. Gives you more flexibility when spending the vouchers

Are Tesco accepting these vouchers as money off your current shop.

If you spend over €75 and get two vouchers, there's some sense in using one in Tesco (assuming they'll accept them) if you wish to.

But if you spend €25 to €75, you're much better off using your single voucher in Dunnes, if you can, to generate yet another voucher and so on.

States in the T&C's that you have to print out this voucher page first to redeem the money off vouchers. Anyone know if that is necessary, or do they just give you the money off voucher on the back of a receipt if you spend the required amount.?
Have to do a shop today and don't have access to a printer at the moment...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 891 ✭✭✭A Law

Where do you see that? In the t&c's it says to present this voucher.. I'd imagine showing them on your phone would count.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 173 ✭✭SMI

    Hopefully.
The 'one voucher per customer' made me wary.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,516 ✭✭✭Outkast_IRE

Was in my local dunnes earlier and they automatically gave out the vouchers at the end of the receipt they said there was no need to print voucher even though it says it on it to present it.

I work in Dunnes. There is a barcode on the voucher that we need to scan and we also need to keep the vouchers to send up to the cash office at the end of the day. So showing on your phone won't work.

The text with "present this voucher" is valid for the money off voucher you get with this promotion, you do not need a voucher to participate in the promotion (i.e. to receive the money off voucher).

You simply purchase and at the end of the transaction you get a voucher for the appropriate amount which you than have 10 days to use with your next shop and that voucher you need as original.

In my local dunnes there was a nightmare going on, with people splitting their shop into several transactions to cash in more than of their voucher or noticing they need a copuple of cent for the next threshold and hence running back into the isle to add something cheap.

AFAIK the money-off voucher is only valid from the day AFTER your initial purchase.

Can the vouchers be used to buy phone credit, if I buy 30 euro credit, can I use my 5 euro voucher?

No. As with all Dunnes spend and save vouchers, the small print strictly forbids purchasing phone credit.

If you want to use your voucher to buy phone credit, use it in Tesco. But remember you won't earn another voucher by doing so.

Ends 10/10/14. It's written up in the shops & my voucher (from yesterday's shop) also ends 10/10/14. I wonder what they'll tempt us with then? Half price tins of biscuits (foxs christmas tin is on the shelves, mysteriously overpriced....), x selection boxes for €y, etc.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 31,117 ✭✭✭✭snubbleste

They must've extended the promotion then

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,696 ✭✭✭Lisha

I might ring first and see if they'll honour my vouchers, I've 3 *€10 off €50 spend !

The offer ends Saturday, as in they stop issuing new vouchers on 04/10. These vouchers are valid for 10 days.

Your voucher says 10/10 because it 10 days after your last shop. Anyone shopping there today, it would say 11/10 and so on, up to a maximum of 14/10 (as Sat 4th is the last day).

So if I use my 5 euro voucher on saturday, do I need to spend at least 30€ in order to get another voucher? or I won't get anything because I'm using the voucher?

To use the €5 voucher, you must spend at least €25 or over in Saturday's shop. At the bottom of your receipt, on Saturday you will also get another €5 off €25 spend for your next shop- to be used within 10 days.

    Hope that helps!

So If I spend exactly 25€ I can use my 5€ voucher but that will bring the amount to 20€: am I still entitled for a 5€ voucher?

    yes

Wrong, at least in my experience.

If you have a 5e voucher, you need to have 30e of stuff in your basket to qualify for another 5e voucher. They deduct the 5e from your receipt before calculating if you qualify for a 5e voucher.

With a 5e voucher and a bill of 29.99, after applying the voucher your bill is 24.99 which is <25e and thus no new voucher.

With a 5e voucher and a bill of 30.01, after applying the voucher your bill is 25.01 which is >25e and thus new 5e voucher.

No, that's incorrect. I have made a number of trips to Dunnes over the period of this promotion and on every occasion bought just over €25 worth of groceries. I used my existing €5 voucher each time and received another €5 voucher in my receipt.

It doesn't matter how you pay for your €25/€50/€75/€100 worth of groceries; once you hit the relevant amount you receive the appropriate voucher.

Thats incorrect, if you spend 25 you get your initial 5 voucher, if you spend 25 again and use your initial 5 voucher, you get another 5 voucher on your receipt.

Me too. It's €5 off a bill of €25 or more. Pretty straightforward, there's no small print that reads 'must spend €30 to get the next voucher'

I shopped in Dunnes in Blanchardstown yesterday and I got a voucher that is valid from 10/10/14 to 19/10/14 so they must be still extending the offer.

Does anyone know if you can use these vouchers in just the off licence sections - I might stock up for Xmas now if I was getting a few bob off with these?
