    HI,
We are going to paris in october to bring our children to disneyland. We are going to do one day in paris sightseeing but we are not sure what to do.

We would love to do the lourve but have heard the lines are long and it takes a long time to go around and as our youngest is under one it doesnt seem wise!

Been thinking of notredame but is it hard to do with a buggy? We dont mind carrying baby and her buggy around a bit but would it be a nightmare?

Any suggestions for family friendly things to do? Doesnt need to entertain them as such mickey mouse can do that just not to difficult to manage with children.

Also anywhere nice to eat, good markets or curiosity type shop would be helpful to know.

We are staying in disneyland so any help with how to get where would be great. Thanks in advance :-)

I'd first suggest that you search this forum for the word 'Paris' as this question has come up hundreds of times in the past :)

Notre Dame will be fine with a buggy. The lines for the Louvre can be long but you can avoid them by either purchasing tickets online or using the less well known ticket machines at the Rivoli entrance and not the ones under the Pyramid.

If you only have 1 day I would suggest not actually planning a lot and just walking around and enjoying the sites rather than spending half the day in a museum. Staying around the center of town, walking through the Latin Quarter and perhaps a boat trip (40 minutes from the Pont Neuf) will already take up a lot of the day. A park and a picnic would be a fun way to end it if the weather permits.

My nephew and niece loved the open air Science Museum on the outskirts or the city (easily accessible by train) - it's called the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie. See more here - http://www.cite-sciences.fr/en/home/

The museum includes the Cité des Enfants - http://www.cite-sciences.fr/en/explore/permanent-exhibitions/cite-des-enfants/

There's a kids' guide to the Louvre here - http://www.louvre.fr/en/tales-of-the-museum. The Louvre is huge so plan your visit, and definitely book the tickets in advance.

I'd recommend doing the Bateaux Mouches boat tours - you get to see everything without the hassle. Boats leave from the Pont Neuf.

I would agree with some of the above advice if you have only one day for sightseeing you will end up rushing through any museum you enter so honestly do not bother entering them. If the weather is dry Paris is a great city to walk around, for example the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Notre Dam are all located just off the banks of the Seine so you could walk along the pathway by the river and stop off for a look at each of the spots, or there are metro lines or river boats which will bring you up and down the river.

The river boats or Beautaux Buses are relatively expensive in comparison to the metro but they are a nice way to travel along the river.

And in case you don't spot it in other threads. You grab the RER A train from Disney which takes you straight into Paris (Les Halles). It's the only one leaving Disney so you can't go too wrong. Trip is about 35 minutes.
