Shimano 105 chainset with SRAM GXP Button Bracket?

Quick question to my fellow Boardies.

Any all Ireland Tickets.....ONLY JOKING

I bought a Shimano 105 chainset to replace my SRAM Force Chainset....
but have a SRAM GXP Button Bracket.

So the question is are they compatible or do I need a Shimano BB?

You need to buy a shimano bb as the sram spindle is not of the same dimensions as the Shimano. They are not expensive and are simple to remove and put on though with the correct tool that will work with both sets.

No problem. Sram spindles are narrower at the left crank arm as they are also self extracting. Shimano ones bolt on directly.
