    If you consider the logistics behind it with numerous towns vying for stages and requiring full road closures which often spread into different countries 9 months does not seem an excessive time ahead to have the route finalised. As has been already mentioned there is often a leak, so there's little point in trying to keep it under wraps oince it's agreed either.
