I use both, 6-9 inch Harris bipod and full length shooting sticks. Prone with bipod is one of the most steady field shooting positions used, don't dismiss it too quickly.

When kneeling or sitting using bipod / sticks use the knee on trigger hand side to support your elbow of trigger hand side.

When standing lean backwards against something solid.

I modified my sticks this year to something similar to those of Roy Lupton, Fieldsports Britain. The extra rear support gives you a rock steady hold in both standing and kneeling positions.

Sticks all the way here, bipod to zero, made up a few cheap sets like hunters vermin video, most of my shots are kneeling and sitting, keep the sticks hung from my shooting bag and pull them out as needed. I always have a set of knee pads too the combat style, not ones from a hardware as they aren't as comfortable on me and there's nothing like being able to kneel on a big pile of nettles and be grand.
